How It Works
Our programme provides English and maths tuition materials. Developed using British English and originally to support the UK curriculum, our materials can be used to cover all basic skills from age 4 to 14+.
Our materials consist of two main elements, curriculum (teaching) materials and core (practice) sheets.
Curriculum (teaching) materials
Our curriculum materials provide worksheets for students to complete, with assistance from you.
Each set has specific aims
Each set has guidance on the best way to approach the tuition
Each set includes a list of key classroom materials and recommended resources (see below)
Each set has guidelines for time to complete
Each set contains answers or marking guidelines
We also provide a feedback system for use between tutors and students
core skills worksheets
If a student simply needs practice, then our core skills worksheets provide just this. Organised by topic and level, each sheet has its own answer sheet and you can choose what to print and when. Every sheet prints with the student’s name and the system keeps track of what has been issued, so you don’t need to.
Work is organised into study modules, which contain a mix of topics, all with a similar level of difficulty
For many core skills topics, a crib sheet is automatically issued the first time a student sees the work, containing reminders on method and useful completion tips
A tracking sheet is automatically issued for each block of work, allowing time and accuracy to be recorded, alongside feedback on individual sheets
A ‘history’ screen tells you how much a student has done of a particular topic
our resources
In most of our teaching materials we recommend additional resources for use. These are not compulsory, but will vary pace and enhance learning, providing a much better experience for the pupil. A multi-sensory approach to learning benefits pupils much more than simple pencil-on-paper work.
